The Dolomite 3000ers - Climb to the Summit of Civetta

A symbolic peak of the Agordino area and a landmark of early 20th-century alpine ascents. Known as the “wall of walls”, a name given by Reinhold Messner, Civetta is one of the most iconic mountains in the Dolomites. We will ascend together via the normal route: a non-technical but demanding itinerary that requires good physical fitness and endurance.

Experience Description
This is the detailed programme of the day:
Meeting at 08:00 at Rifugio Coldai.
After a briefing, we will start along the trail leading to the normal ascent route. The path climbs through ledges and rocky terrain, crossing the famous “Passo del Tenente”. A short equipped section will bring us to Rifugio Maria Vittoria Torrani, and from there to the long-awaited summit of Civetta (3,220 m). A breathtaking panorama over the entire Dolomites awaits.
Return to Rifugio Coldai in the late afternoon.
