Ascent to the majestic peak of Sassolungo: a journey between ledges, canals and crags in a wild environment… perhaps the most challenging 3000 in the Dolomites! An unforgettable climb in the heart of the Dolomites among the peaks that have seen many epic stories of past mountaineering!
Where do we start from?
Near the Sella pass. We will begin the climb to the Demetz refuge in the early afternoon, where we will stop for dinner and overnight. The next day we will set off early in the morning between the ledge of the Fassani, between successive crags, channels and ridges we will reach the top of the Sassolungo at 3180 m in an incredible environment. Unparalleled views and emotions!
How long will it take?
The exit is offered in two days, with departure in the afternoon and return in the afternoon of the following day.
What difficulty will the exit have?
The overall difference in height of about 1200 meters, the progression in short rope on rock, the exposure and the length of the itinerary require adequate physical preparation for people who have already faced mixed terrain of 3 degrees. Overall difficulty: very high.
What material will I need to have with me?
In addition to clothing and suitable for the high mountains, you will need to have a harness, crampons and helmet with you. It is possible to rent all the equipment upon notice to the Alpine Guide.
How much?
480 € 1 person - 300 € 2 people. The cost includes the accompanying activity of the Alpine Guide (does not include, rentals, transport, food, overnight stay in a refuge or anything else expressly indicated in costs).
